I realize that some of you assclowns in Congress are baffled by all the fuss that people, people or if you like, us Internet geeks are making about your precious little SOPA and PIPA in your latest bid in controlling all of us in America and shredding the United States Constitution with each passing day. I realize that some of you think you’re actually protecting intellectual property and all us digital types just want to freely do whatever we want online, without regard to who owns the stuff in the first place.
You are so fucking incorrect and ignorantly misinformed…
The fact is, most of us digital types make our living from our own intellectual property. The Douginator Online Magazine is just one of millions of reasons why you assholes in congress are dead wrong. When some sleazebag cock-smoker in some distant foreign country republishes this article (and does so over, and over, with slightly changed wording using a tool called “spinning”), that criminal will be attempting to steal my talent and something they in the first place don’t possess.
Contrary what others may think, I spend a lot of time, energy, and will in making this blog, novels, and other forms of my endeavor free or at very little cost to the masses. When people come to the Douginator Online Magazine to read whatever I am writing, they are sampling my raw creative talents and go from there. Perhaps, this is why I don’t get a lot of fucking flack in bad comments or rantings from the so-called critiques because they, such as you are now, get a chance to read my work before pursuing in the desire to get more.
More at a cost…
Nothing is more disheartening for me than to see my hard word on someone else’s site or them using my material. However, in the spite of this bullshit within the United States, there are laws already in place that protect me, that insure that there are already legal processes in place that will allow my lawyer to fully go after them, shut them down, and of course, get compensated fully for my troubles.
It’s happened time and time before…
So let me make it clear that we, the people of the Internet, understand, and we hate the scum who steal our hard work. Nonetheless, there are already laws and legal processes in place, so why do we need the bullshit of SOPA?
We fucking don’t?
Once upon a time we has the legislative ancestors in Washington, they actually did some real good. They wrote laws, they created agencies, and they set up systems that would, in fact, stand the test of time. We have copyright law, with lots of depth and nuance. When someone steals our intellectual property, copyright law comes into play. People lost companies, went into financial ruin, and some even done jail time.
It is my astute understanding that the International copyright law is more complex, but even there, we have a Commerce Department, we have international treaties, and we have enforcement procedures.
So why SOPA and PIPA?
The reason we, the people of the Internet, have pushed back so hard on SOPA and PIPA (and will continue to do so, even though the fucking corporate assclowns and those in congress that is quickly becoming synonymous with the very word of “Assclowns” are inevitably trying to sneak something nasty in somewhere else) is that we know we have laws that can be used to protect us already in place. As I wrote in the proceeding article, SOPA and PIPA is bullshit and more than that, something that detrimentally hurts us all in the end. As I said earlier, tears away at our very freedoms.
We also know that SOPA and PIPA and their ilk aren’t designed to protect artists and writers, musicians and producers, programmers and filmmakers in the least, but instead, to protect only the corporate powers that be. We know SOPA and PIPA are designed to line the pockets of the lawyers and lobbyists at the MPAA and the RIAA. It would be wise to remember this, it would be wise to read the acts for yourselves, it would be wise that you understand exactly what SOPA and PIPA are in all actuality.
After all, while we were creating the greatest communications transformation since the Tower of Babel if you believe in the mythology in the first place. The MPAA and RIAA corporate assholes are already terrorizing grandmothers and college students, bullying them into turning over their remaining life savings or college tuition savings. The MPAA and the fucking RIAA corporate goons are increase their war-chest, strike fear into the hearts of their loyal customers, and all those lawyers could get paid their $500/hour rates in the meantime. The SOPA and PIPA, acts that become future laws would only add a metric ton of cash to them to continue their fear-mongering attacks and assaults on a wider scope that will eventually allow them to control the Internet in the United States.
For the corporate Assclowns and congress; We, the people of the Internet, may not have the normal infrastructure for influencing politicians, but we have the ability to communicate in ways that will take your fucking breath away. We invented this stuff, we can reach billions of people in a heartbeat, we can shock voters into awareness with an impact you can only dream of, and our power will only get stronger.
If the Internet was its own nation, we would and consequently in my mind, are, the biggest nation in the entire world. A nation that knows no boundaries, that is not of one particular political or religious party of any kind. We are “them”, “they”, and billions more that will not shut the fuck up, keep quiet, or be contained.
In the not so distant past countries like China, Belarus, Egypt, and Iran can in their futilely, attempt to squelch us, but we will route around quite easily and most often than not, without breaking into a sweat in doing so.
As in doing so, they, these fucking assclowns attempts to make criminals out of us. So when government tries to legislate an ill-advised technical fix to a societal behavior problem, it fucking won’t work. People are infinitely adaptable, and just as we will adapt to keep the lines of communication open, so too will the criminals.
Business as usual…
The SOPA and PIPA is ultimately designed to attempt to break the Internet. I shake my head as the Internet is designed to survive nuclear war for a god damned reason. It is stronger and more resilient than you can possibly imagine and it will fight back in spades.
Speaking of spades…
In America, and for that matter, the world just saw what happened in the news of late for all the assclowns out here in America, my nation of mine, when Anonymous just attacked the core of my government in denial of service attacks that was obvious easy enough in light of all the bullshit of the government.
The Internet, in a world view, is much bigger than any single government. Through technology and the abundance and simplicity thereof will only continue to grow and the United States needs to pull their corporate heads deep out of their asses and realize the painfully obvious.
We ain’t going anywhere, motherfuckers!
This topic is very sensitive and needs further debate and analysis, simply because the decision our politicians may make will not only affect the lives of billions of people around the world, but may also create a huge impact not only in our economy but the whole world’s economy. Specially countries who cater the needs of manpower and services for companies.
