In this day and age, there seems to be more people who watch the Super Bowl here in America because of the commercials and the half-time shows more than the games themselves.
I don’t blame them a bit.
It’s no secret in my family that we love Clint Eastwood. Sure, he’s played in some stupid movies, stupid parts with some very cheesy dialog. However, he rocks overall, and in all that my friends is a natural born fact.
The other day, I was reading through Facebook at some of my friends mentioning in their opinion, what was their favorite Super Bowl Commercial(s). I found that I truly have nothing in common with these people on their respective tastes of their choices. Not that I am somehow better or superior to them – That goes without saying.
Now I did not watch the Super Bowl and waste my time. I cheated and went to YouTube to check out all the commercials. I found that the only one that was worth its weight in gold-pressed platinum was and still is, “It’s Halftime America.”
I turned down my 5.1 Surround Sound System, then I found myself turning off the music completely as I saturated myself into something far more serious than any of the contrite commercials by far. In this commercial, there is Clint Eastwood with his hands in his pockets, the stern look and gate as he walked up a corridor of sorts and began talking about the game. Eastwood talked about something much more important than any football game in the history of the NFL can ever be. He began talking about the state of this nation as I quickly become filled with emotion as to what he is actually saying – THE TRUTH!
I turned up the commercial and listened carefully to what he was and is saying. I found myself hanging upon every word. I began feeling every word, I began dining upon every word as the rest of my world quickly faded away.
The commercial, the only choice of mine is only 2:01 minutes long. You cannot go anywhere on the Internet as far as the media is concerned of what is their take on this resounding commercial, this resounding message.
Now after watching this a couple of time, and the video, if you haven’t seen it for yourself it can be viewed at your pleasure, here. As I watched it, I carefully listened again. I did not hear anything remotely about the message, Eastwood, or anything before and after the presentation of being political or supporting that asshole known as President Obama. In fact, there was no mention of having a democratic or republican message that promotes either party. All I heard was a message about what is happening with the common people, and of course, the American automobile industry at the most.
As with all things these days, the fucking politicians, the American Corporate News who are OWNED by the 1% and those in control attempt to say that this video for the American Public, about the American Public is somehow political or politically biased.
This is fucking absurd.
Ruben Navarrette Jr. of CNN News wrote a commentary called, “Don’t pick a fight with Clint Eastwood.” In this almost well-written piece. Navarrette points out those very same things as I have done thus far in this article. He sides with this magazine by saying that this commercial has no political message, no political bias. There is no hint of Eastwood supporting the Idiot Obama or his useless administration anywhere in the 2:01 minutes.
So where does the fuckers like Karl Rove come up with the idea that this video, this message has something to do with siding with Obama?
It fucking don’t!
Navarrette writes;
It’s a good, strong ad. But did you hear the political message? No? Me neither. All I heard was an upbeat message slickly produced and expertly delivered. Which raises the question: Even in a presidential election year, does every single thing have to be about politics?
For Rove, the answer seems to be “yes.” He told Fox News that he was “offended” by the ad, which he said was an example of “what happens when you have Chicago-style politics.”
Give me a break. It’s OK to not be impressed with the resurrection of the Motor City. But do you then have to respond by attacking the Windy City?
Rove thinks the ad is calling for Obama’s re-election, so we can start the “second half.”
Well, someone is obviously wasted on a fictionist topic. Karl may want to take some quiet time alone with the staff at the Betty Ford Clinic and see if he can get straighten out on some hard reality. He is obviously hallucinating and seeing and hearing things that are just not there.
He’s not the only one judging by the cartoon characters we have running the nation and those who are in the running who want to run.
Maybe I’m a little glib. And that’s the point of this Eastwood Message, it is a motivational message of all things and is not political. I swear, these ass-clown politicians will turn anything good for bad in making it some sort of political agenda that will suite themselves.
Ass-clowns, each and everyone of them…
